Last Strings

So…we are still talking. I answered the phone yesterday. It felt good because it almost looked like I was talking to a friend. I proposed to him the idea of trying to be friends at least ’cause I don’t want to rip him out of my life. We are friends. And it feels good. We laughed and talked about knee caps yesterday and it was nice. I needed a friend. AND YOU CAN LOVE A FRIEND. Sorry for the caps but I’m gonna leave it that way because I’m too lazy to delete it and write it again.

ANYWAYS, I checked out a book from the library and it’s called Long Day’s Journey into Night by Eugene O’Neill. It’s from the 1940-50’s. Very interesting so far. You should try taking this test online, it’s the Typology Test by Carl Hung….something like that. One question: Why are people so obsessed with Dunking Donuts and Starbucks here in Florida? It’s crazy! I see cups and boxes everywhere in school.

Last night, I was hosting a party at work and the guests were so nice to me. I got a $13 tip but it felt like a $100. TODAY I GET PAID HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….HA.

March 10th: vacation. Destination: Puerto Rico. For what anyways? To visit my family, celebrate my dad’s birthday and just sped time in my country because I miss it. I miss the churros and sorullos con queso that Grandma makes only for me. The tropical music that I can’t stand but I miss it. I miss the car horns and dog barks and conversations from the neighbors at night. I miss being scared of encountering a lizard in my room…or in the fridge… I miss being barefoot and feel the heat of the earth and the singing of the birds. And my favorite thing: the mountains. I miss everything. The arrogant people on the streets and suddenly finding a nice person (which ends up being an American).

I have to go. Oh, I am keeping this tiny journal, but the purpose of it is to give it to my children or to my husband or when I die, those are going to be words of inspiration to others. Kinda cool, right?
