Colorless

I talked to your mom last week.

She told me you were coming to see her.

I talked to your mom the day after that.

She was sure that you were coming to see her.

I talked to your mom a few days ago.

She was wondering where you were.

I held your moms hand last night.

I sang to her.

I prayed with her.

She had lost her ability to speak.

Her chart was marked failure to thrive.

I held your moms hand last night.

I watched her take her last breath.

I cleaned her up before the funeral home came.

I kissed her forehead and told her goodbye.

Tomorrow never came.

Where were you?
