A Nice Day

It was a great day.  Babysat my cute nephew from roughly 10 am – 4 pm.  I love how loving he is.  It’s easy to make him smile.  He doesn’t babble as much as he did before which is concerning to me.  I see the way he looks at other kids jumping and walking when we’re out and about.  He smiles and laughs just at the sight of other kids and wants to join in all the fun but he has yet to learn how to walk.  He will soon be seven months and he can almost crawl.  He can sit up mostly on his own now.   I tell him all the time that he will learn how to walk one day and the fact that he has learned to lift his head and sit up are big steps.  My family and I always tell him how proud we are of him and how much we all love him.  He has brought so much joy into our lives.  He is an answered prayer for my sister (who is the mother) and a complete special blessing to us all.

Also spent some time outside and did a bit of cardio workout after babysitting.  It felt great to be outdoors and get the blood circulating.  I do a lot of walking at work so I haven’t done any cardio on my days off for maybe over a year now.   Will end today with yoga, stretching, meditation, shower, and some beauty regimen like a facial/hair mask.

Looks like I will be leaving my current work soon to a job that has better pay, medical insurance, and social security.  Received the paper to do the physical exam as I passed the background check.  I thank God for the position that He has opened for me and hope that I will learn to enjoy this position for many years.

Being back in school in pursuit of my second bachelors degree is really a bother though I am grateful to be able to go to college.  I know that there are many people in this world who could only dream of an education.  I am blessed to live in this nation and am so very proud that I can call US my home.

I plan to get back to a healthier eating style starting tomorrow.  I’ve been in a funk lately and maybe my diet is a contributing factor.  Cardio workout really did me good so will do some tomorrow as well. Hope to do 3 miles.
