  1. Mindfulness Experiment

For this section of the assignment, I came across a lot of different mindful games that made my emotions go up and down, and had my happiness all over the place while doing certain activities. The certain types of activities that I had to do for example; on the computer screen would be a bunch on balloons flying around and have negative and positive words, and every time a positive word would appear on the balloon, my job was to click that balloon and so forth, it would then get to a point where you couldn’t keep track of all the balloons because there was to many to look at once. Another activity that I would have to take part in was they would give me a bunch of happiness questions to answer. For example, “what was the first thing that made you happy today?” but the thing about this was that they didn’t want you to just put something like winning the lottery happy, but something like seeing someone you haven’t seen for a while or a dog running up to you and wagging their tail at you or you seeing a really cute baby and it just makes you smile. This influenced my happiness because it made me think more and outside of the box. It had me doing activities that made me realize the little things that shouldn’t be taken for granted, so I thought that was really cool and I understand why it helps people get though their happiness because it has you take part in activities that will help your happiness grow.

  1. Mindfulness and My Happiness

Thinking back the experiment I did in question two about increasing my mindfulness is taking more of the smaller things in life that gives up small joys into consideration. Looking back at my days and having to write down the little things I was grateful for really made me think about how many things happen to us during the day that just make us smile. When it comes to mindfulness, I think I can continue practicing also by having thoughts in my head and thinking before I speak, if the thought is helpful then I’ll know when to put my input in. 1. What I have Learned

What I have learned by completing happiness and mindfulness is to appreciate more things in life, and I think that’s what being mindful is all about; having an open mind, and seeing the small things in life for what they really are. What I learned about my own happiness was that my emotions can go up and down really fast just by completing a computer game, I found myself getting upset while not doing good or not understanding what I was doing, then I got the hang of things and felt better about myself.
