Day 398 – Accidentally called 911, being wise and tea

Wednesday, March 29th 2017

Today was good.

I started with psychology. We took notes on memory.

In French we just did book work all throughout. I’m a tiny bit ahead—by 1.5 chapters.

At lunch I sat with Kohai and a couple of friends who are identical twins, although it’s easy to tell them apart, since one has really short hair, and the other really long. She needed biology help from them. Afterwards, they told me a story about how the short haired one accidentally called 911. It was in her purse and for some reason, she gets a call, so she takes it out and it was the police. They bombarded her with questions and then went to see if everything was alright—at the optometrist (the long haired one was getting glasses). They looked around, saw everything was good and left. She refused to touch her phone after in fear she’d do it again, even though she has no clue how her phone, an old one where you have to press 3 buttons to unlock, in her purse, called 911. It was funny.

I then had art. I continued painting my portrait and decided to start with the nose and go out. It gave me a much better result for the skin—I just have to worry about features, hair, clothing and my worse nightmare : ears. The curve, shadows and detail in them makes it so hard for a realistic painting.

I finished with English. We started on a power point with a group of 7 or 8 (class was split in 3). It was about Maslow’s theory, which I actually have tons of psychology notes on. I ran to get my notes and I ended up being the editor. I’d add info, fix grammar, make sure everything important is there… I’m also the source for explanation and information. Feels awesome, since I’ve always valued knowledge and loved the idea of being a wise and knowledgeable person, full of information and advice to give. This isn’t as great as that, but still just a little something that I can enjoy.

At home I moderated the server, ate, did some more then got a package from the owners. It was tea! Fancy tea as well! And of course they got it in French. I tried chai vanilla and so far, didn’t work out. Tasted like medicine water for me and gave me a little bit of a headache. I’m gonna try pumpkin next; I feel good about that one. I really hope I do end up liking one of the teas though; they’re fancy as heck so they surely paid a lot, and I don’t want it to go to waste. Yes, my mom and dad can drink them (my mom especially, she loves chai vanilla and took one before I could haha), but they intented it to be for me, so I want to at least like one of them.

That’s all for today.
