Today was amazing!
So I went to Comic Con. While exploring I saw an old friend and a classmate, then we finally got in line to meet Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman. When I got to see them before it was my turn to take a picture, it was kinda like seeing a mascot, not sure why. It just felt like they aren’t supposed to be real, so seeing them outside of a screen seemed unreal. It went by all so fast though, since you’re just shoved in there to take a picture and shoved out. When it was our turn, my mom told the Doctor it was for my birthday. He leaned (he was pretty close, not in a weird sense, at a respectable distance, but enough to be the focus of my vision) and I asked what age I was gonna be, which I said “What?” (of freaking course I didn’t hear him) and then he repeated himself, then I replied “17” and he said something and I didn’t quite hear, but it was probably a happy birthday—I was too busy being preoccupied with wondering how I’ll pose/being thrown into the situation. I could see his face clearly, but it is all a blur since I had no time to process the situation (ugh why). Jenna was quiet and didn’t say anything, but I had my hand on her back while taking the picture. We were then shoved out and I didn’t thank them, or did I? I don’t remember. After apparently I was red according to my mom. I was hot and sweating a bit after, haha.
We decided to go exploring and saw quite a bit of art, as well as the Supernatural car, a booth with the animation program to the college I wanna go to right in front of it, and I saw an example of a portfolio, and it isn’t actually all that incredible, just a student learning and has potential. I feel like I can achieve it, since from the portfolios I’ve seen beforehand, they look like from artists who have been drawing for years and years, so it was quite intimidating. Still gonna work hard though. I definitely need improvement.
I bought a mousepad with a drawing of the little black balls in Spirited Away on it, as well as a mini poster for Totoro, BB-8 and Baymax.
At home I played games/trying to understand what exactly happened during the photo by looking at it again and again (just process it better), then watched YouTube and Supernatural.
In the end, I can cross off meeting a celeb I like on my bucket list. I would add have a proper conversation with them that’s more than 5 seconds, but kinda hard to do so, since they’re only at events like that, haha.
That’s all for today.
