Day 557 & 558 – Health, fangirl moment & work

Tuesday, September 5th 2017

Today was pretty average. School went by as usual and nothing special really happened. I discovered we have a math test next week though… Fun! It’s open notes, but you still have to understand how to do the questions, of course.

At home I ran, and also made some more research on exercise and calories and all of that ish. Apparently for a woman, 2000 calories a day is enough to maintain your weight, and 1500 a day to lose a pound a week. I made a few calculations and it seems usually my intake is around 2000 calories, which explains why my weight stays the same. However, if I cut out Nutella and replace it with my peanut butter and banana breakfast, and for deserts (cause I crave for something sweet or chocolate-y after supper mostly), stay on the mostly healthy chocolate chip granola bars, then I can easily get to 1500, especially with the exercise that I’m doing. But, I’m gonna have to discipline myself quite a bit. Chocolate is my weakness, haha.

Other than that, I concentrated on math and French homework before watching an episode of Supernatural. My parents also went to pick up my brother from the airport early in the morning.

Today was alright as well. Morning went by as usual, except we read The Dying Detective by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. My English teacher was explaining Sherlock Holmes to people who might not know too much about him, and then he went on to mention the BBC series, said that season four was amazing and that he believed Benedict Cumberbatch is the best actor to play Sherlock’s role. I was fangirling so hard. I wanted to talk to him about it, but it was in the middle of class. Maybe at the end of the next one if I see an opening and I’m not too shy.

At lunch I sat with my close friend and we talked quite a bit about our careers, university and colleges, and so on.

Then we had math and I’m slowly understanding. My teacher stresses me out sometimes, yelling “you should be done x amount by now!” to the class, and saying if we’re not, we’re not using our time wisely and that we shouldn’t take whatever math class he said next semester if we are. He’s a nice guy, but first, we all learn at different paces, and second, SCREW the other math class. I’m not taking any more math after this, haha.

We ended the day with French and we had to write a poem near the end. Later at home I finished it, even if it’s only part of a pack that will be due all the way at the end of the semester, but I had a good idea and I’m pretty happy with it. Only problem my computer doesn’t seem to like my printer. Gonna have to figure that out.

I also did some math work, read a little for French then watched a couple of Supernatural episodes.

That’s all for today.
