2018

Never done something like this before (writing about my life where people will be reading my most intimate thoughts and experiences)… new year new beginnings, I guess. I have so much to look forward to this year.

I have a trip to England coming up in March and 4 weddings to attend through out the year, one of which will be my own in the Fall. I am beginning a new shift at work in a few weeks, which will finally give me some awesome days off and I will finally be graduating with my bachelor’s degree in June. There are so many wonderful things to look forward to this year.

I feel that with the culmination of my studies, I’ll finally have some free time to work on more creative projects and some spiritually enlightening projects.  I hope to be able to possibly pick up water color painting and maybe learn to play an instrument such as the guitar or piano. As for spiritual enlightenment I want to try to work at mediating and yoga.

My fiance and I have also started working towards melting away these holiday and happy relationship pounds. For the next 2 weeks we will be focusing on a raw vegan diet! I can’t believe we are actually going to try this. I love meat. LOL but I have also gained 30 lbs since G and I began to date about 2 years ago. We thought we’d do this as a detox and hopefully jump start living healthy. Wish us luck!

Just so that I have my goals clearly spelled out for me, I’ll deposit them here and then do a follow up at the end of the year:

Mind:

-Graduate with my bachelor’s in June

-Read at least 12 books this year (1 per month?)

Spiritual:

-Develop a mediation ritual (maybe after a workout or when I wake up)

-Research other spiritual practices

-Work on stressing out less (breathing more throughout the day, relaxation techniques) before September,

when the wedding will finally happen.

-Develop a more positive state of mind by creating a vision board before my birthday

Body:

-Lose 30 pounds by August

-Stay on raw Vegan at least until Jan 11 my birthday

and then back on until February 4

-Work up to being able to run 2 miles in 20 min by March

-Work on appreciating my body more

Financial:

-Work on being more active in our budget by

checking on it once a wk rather than relying on G to plan it all

-Pay off at least one credit card this year

Career and Work:

-Look for a higher paying position after July

-Finish Training book by February

Fun/Adventure:

-Travel to England in March

-Travel to California

-Get my first tattoo

Relationships:

-Read more relationship books on how to be more assertive

-Develop a more supportive friend circle

-Learn how to be a more supportive friend

So there you have it folks. I wish you all success on your goals for the year as well!

Muah!
