They are teenagers. They should not have these insane rules imposed upon them. They should not have to be within arms reach. They should not have to ask me to get food. They should not have to leave the room to watch videos on their phones. They should not have to turn the lights on to watch a movie. They should not have to ask to sit on the porch. They should not have to ask to get blankets. They should not be punished for their parent’s mistakes.

This is insanity. I cannot stand having to impose such bogus rules on teenagers. When I was 11, I could stay home by myself. When I was 13, I was allowed to roam around the grocery store. When I was 16 I could stay home by myself for the weekend. I am now college educated and have never been to jail. I would call that a success. What makes others think that giving these same freedoms to teens will harm them in the long run?

This is insanity. I cannot do it anymore. It is not my responsibility to stay in a job that I don’t agree with. It is not my responsibility to impose rules that I believe hurt more than they help. It is not my responsibility to help them find a new person to work there.

It is my responsibility to take care of myself. It is my responsibility to be kind. It is my responsibility to do whatever I think will give me life again.
