The second day of volunteering was very entertaining to say the least. I took part in phone banking, which is basically calling people to persuade undecided voters to help elect senator Kay Hagan. We get a list of people to call and some of the people we talk to are very “interesting”. Some people do not like to be contacted by political campaigns and were very rude. Since this was my first time it was very scary hearing people use profanity and vulgar language when I asked simple questions such as
1. Have you decide who you are voting for in this up coming election
2. Do you feel Kay Hagan has earned your vote with the work she has done in her first term.
3. Can we count on your support for Kay Hagan in the upcoming senate election.
