I have a job!!!! And an interview for a second job to work around the first. Yahoo!!!!! I have to get some things in order and then I can get some things going that I have really wanted for a long time. Can you say delayed gratification???
I know it’s too soon to think about it all too much but I am really looking forward to being able to get some new clothes, get a better computer system going (my HP Mini has meant the world to me for communication but I really am a geek at heart and want the whole system with two monitors, scanner, great speakers, printer, etc.). And a good cell phone with a great camera because I love taking pictures.
I can’t tell you how relieved I am. I suppose it is good I am back where I began, back to Indiana again. I have over ten years history here and lots of friends and connections and so does my husband. It bodes well for our future together also. I loved Denver but he just really never clicked there and felt really isolated. He has over twenty years here plus he also went to college here and is very connected. He is even thinking about recording a new CD and getting back into music, maybe even doing some festivals and things. He is a blues musician.
The time apart taught him a lot and I see such a big difference in him. I really think things are on a good swing all the way around.
Like Martin Luther King said, if you can’t run then walk. If you can’t walk then crawl . . . well I have most certainly been crawling but I did finally make it. Not only have I made it, I am enjoying what I have. The job is going to be very fun with great people.
Well that’s about all I have for now. Overwhelming relief! And hope.
