p.170

a spider crawled out of Shakespeare’s skull
and Teddy Roosevelt once stubbed his toe
a little girl swings high in the air
a rainbow is smothered by clouds
sleepy eyes narrow on the full trash can
an untied shoelace trips the late college student
mothers hold their children away from the light
pens write on paper we press them on
vibrations wake up even the sleepiest of sloths
lips weave tails of foreign lands and dragons
hoodie string only stay symmetrical
while in view
birds live in cages with clipped wings
I wonder if the world will end soon
