To the people who know my story and still continue to adore my abuser

By befriending my abuser, you are telling him that regardless of the sick things he’s done to me, people will still enjoy his company.

By befriending my abuser, you are unknowingly telling him that no matter how many times he’s hurt me, you will stay by his side.

By befriending my abuser, you are unknowingly validating his actions and saying that what he did is okay.

By befriending my abuser, you are unknowingly telling me that my feelings do not matter and my experiences do not matter.

By befriending my abuser,  you are telling him that no matter how terrible of a person he is, he still deserves and still will have friends by his side.

By befriending my abuser, you are making him feel and think that his abusing people will be tolerated by the people around him.

By befriending my abuser, you are telling him that enjoying his company in your life is more important than his abusive actions that hurt other people.

By befriending my abuser, you are condoning to abusive behavior.

By befriending my abuser, you are unknowingly contributing to the society that tells abusers regardless of the sick crimes they commit, people will still love them and adore them as before.

  1. As a victim of sexual assault, I can completely understand where you are coming from. It’s disgusting how little rights the victim gets and the assailant,might as well, recieve a pat on the back. Please stay strong and know that you don’t have to go through this alone.
