Attitude

I am always fascinated by stories of people who have managed to develop a different mental attitude than that commonly held by those around them: the poor man who refuses to see himself as poor, the sick woman who focuses on what she can do rather than on her handicaps.  Such people display the kind of attitude suggested by the old story of the boy who was given a room full of manure and deduced that there must be a pony nearby.

The above story speaks volumes about the human spirit.  Often we find ourselves looking at what we lack.  What we are not able to do.  What we cannot afford.  The if we only had attitude.  Each day, when we wake our first decision is to decide what our attitude will be for that day.  What did you decide this morning?
