The Piano

I finally understand why the piano is so amazing and I’ve played since I was 5. Everytime I play it’s like I’m in a whole new world. Like it’s just me and my piano going through life. I can play somebody else’s songs but give it my own meaning and change the notes a bit. Playing a song well on the piano isn’t just fun, it gives the feeling of happiness and accomplishment. I play the song “River Flows in You” by Yiruma as it’s a story about my family and how I’m the odd one in the family because I’m different and I don’t seem to belong but when I play, its as if I make the family beautiful. The notes I play on my left hand in this song represent my dad, simple, a little harsh, and not very close to me. The notes I play in the middle of the piano represent my brother and my mom, very close to me, they help me out, and their a bridge between me and my dad. The notes I play on the right side represent me, I bud in at first, I can be annoying to some, but I sound the best to others. The whole song together creates a beautiful song. It’s one of my favorite songs and it doesn’t even have lyrics, that’s what makes it so beautiful. I finally understand why the piano is so amazing, I can make it my own meaning.
