The weather has been so lovely during this month and the leaves have started to change colors. Those vibrant, beautiful orange and gold and autumn red colors that make you feel all happy inside. I absolutely love the fall season. And spring. Two things I love most about fall is knowing that times with extended family is right around the corner and everything having to do with pumpkin: Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin cake, pumpkin pudding, pumpkin-you name it. I am very thankful that God created the fall season! Well, more or less, it’s a necessity for the earth to keep functioning, so I am thankful for creation in general. Perhaps it could be said (and a part of it is true) that the joy of the fall season is the association with the pumpkin flavored drinks and the coming together of family and all the food and the idea of sitting by the fireplace with a pumpkin spice latte, watching a movie, curled up under a blanket – at least, that’s how it usually portrayed and what many people associate fall with. I love fall for these reasons too; but the beauty of creation amazes me just as much and fills me with joy. Seeing the colors of fall while I take a drive or something outside feels so good.
