My Relationship With Money

We all need it right?

I would say that I have a serious love/hate relationship with money.

I definitely wouldn’t say I’m the best handler of it. I can remember back in college filling out credit card applications to get a free t-shirt and not even really knowing what credit was.

As business owner, you need money to make things happen. Over the course of the last 8 years, I have had some money highs and some serious money lows.

As I approach another birthday in about 2 weeks, I realize that everything, money included is a mental thing.

How we treat money is how we feel about ourselves.

We don’t do all of this hard work just to work hard. All of us I’m sure would like to get to a point where we have some sort of financial freedom.

I’m in my mid 30s and I think it’s taken these years for me to think about things from a different perspective. I’ve made a lot of mistakes when it comes to money. But realize now it was never about the money.

There is no shame in asking for help or getting support in an area where you’re not the best in. That’s the diamond; the jeweled realization that I wish I understood in my 20s.

When I was younger I thought I would have it all figured out by the time I turned 30. I knew nothing then lol. I’m just now getting started in a way.

If we get our mind right, the rest will follow. And there is no set point in our lives when things start to click. Mine just happens to be right now.
