It’s the day before Thanksgiving and I find myself wondering why people celebrate this holiday. Should Thanksgiving be an everyday thing not just something to celebrate every Thursday of the year? Of course, I’m grateful for this break from assignments and the time with family. That is a definite thing to be grateful for, and one I’m sure many people will be thankful for as they come together: The gift of family, whether a small or big affair, it’s still a wonderful time to come together and fellowship and catch up on each other’s lives. Some people don’t have much family, either through divorce or death or they have a sad family story, but Thanksgiving is a time in which even these people can have a great time. I’m thankful for family. I’m so thankful for my family.
