Pick your poison

When you get over an addiction, you never get over the fact you’re still addicted to addictions. You quit cutting, and now you want to do drugs and have sex. So they tell you “pick your poison”.

any advice for healthy addictions?

  1. That’s very true – but you have to turn it around. Why does addiction have to be a negative thing? Why not be addicted to something good – like helping other. My boyfriend was addicted to heroin and crack, and is now 5 months sober. When he first got clean all he could think about was getting high. Now he can’t remember the last time he had the “itch” to get high because he took all that energy and put it into something good – bettering his life. He’s now addicted to making changes. He started a new job, enrolled in college classes, got his license back, and has become an amazing father and boyfriend. It is all a matter of how your look at it – and who you put yourself around plays a big role. Good luck!
