What is misconduct? Well when we are talking specifically about a teacher code of conduct, I would classify misconduct as anything that goes against that code. The main ideas in a teacher’s code of conduct are to treat students, family, and colleagues in a fair and equatable way while being sensitive to differences and teaching lessons in a diverse manor in which all students benefit. Misconduct would be to treat one or more students with favoritism. Misconduct could even be having an overly rude personality. Obvious misconduct would be anything that broke the law such as discrimination or cheating.
