Why So Bitter? ♥

Okay. All this slut-shaming and whore-shaming that’s going on is seriously just so ridiculous and childish. All you are accomplishing by doing that is making yourself look bitter. I am sorry, but it does. Also, when it comes to some of the terms used to describe people like me:

Prostitutes … sluts … whores … It’s all different words that basically mean the same thing: A sex worker. Some of us do it just for the money, others do it for pleasure, and still others do it to survive {the second and the last reason being the case for me}. Whatever the reasons, at the end of the day we are just regular human beings just like the rest of you; we have jobs, families, friends, and we live normal lives. Our work is one that is sometimes frowned upon, yes, but it’s a way of life and a job all the same. And, for the record, there is nothing wrong with being a sex worker nor enjoying sex. I’m a slut, and guess what? I am not ashamed of it. It’s a part of who I am and I’ve always been one for as long as I can remember. Please think twice from now on before hating on people for their lifestyles and for their sexual lifestyle choices. You wouldn’t want people to treat you poorly for YOUR choices and your ways of life, and you are not special nor better than anyone else, so what makes your need to hate and bash on us in any way justified? Kindly explain. Because you don’t know us or what our reasons are for the choices we make, including when it comes to this kind of thing. My apologies for this mature diary entry, but I’m just so sick and tired of people wanting to be ignorant about us and wanting to look down on us like we’re less than human. If you truly think so ill and low of people like me, then I can only pity you, and honestly, I do not wish to be associated with ignorant people at all.

  1. No judgement from me 🙂
Something people don’t like to talk about is that sex / intimacy is a way of building power, energy, a connection between the people involved. Human contact is so important and people take it and the pleasure of it for granted. Props to you for loving yourself, standing up for yourself, and doing what makes you happy. If others judge you, I find, the reason why is to hide some inadequacy in themselves.

  2. Thank you very much for your kind words, dear. It means a lot to me. 🙂
