Silent night, the trees are howling,
the sun has set.
The lights are out and the creatures come out,
and ask to play.
They wander and seek,
but nothing is out.
The darkness welcomes them,
as they smile back.
The nigh is dark,
and oh how the trees howl.
The world is silent, and nothing is moving.
Yet the trees continue to howl.
Can you hear their pain, feel their sorrow,
or is it just a game?
Can you see the light, or is it hidden?
The creatures walk and smile in the darkness.
I feel their presence, their sorrow pulls me in.
Let me go, don’t keep me here,
I want to be free from the sound of the howling tree.
