I decided to make my school entries like my school schedule. Thought it’d look cool, so let’s give it a try.
1st Period (09:10-10:25)
I went to class for attendance before heading to the cafeteria with my 10th grade classmates, because we had a practice French exam today, the TCPL. It’s the big French exam you need to pass so you may graduate high school, probably like English schools they have a big English exam instead, not sure.
You have to be really awful at French or have recently moved to Canada and not know a lot of French to fail it. Even then, people who have moved to Canada less than 5 years ago go to a different room and have more time to work on it.
We have two sections to the exam : Cahier 1 and Cahier 2. Basically, you would finish the first cahier then go and take a break for ten minutes, before returning to work on the second cahier (I’d translate the word, but I have no idea what it is in English. Google translate says notebook, but it isn’t that).
2nd Period (10:35-11:50)
Well, I was still in the practice exam, working on Cahier 2. This one was very easy, especially because I already knew the answers. We already did the same questions in my French clinic to prepare you for the exam. If only it was the real one, I’d get an almost or perfect grade.
Went to sit with my friends, didn’t do all that much. I listened to them talk as I usually do, because to be honest, I’m kinda third-wheeling it. But I don’t mind just listening to them, it’s relaxing, and I have been sitting with them since 7th grade, so I’m used to it. They usually talk about something I don’t know about and now it’s Greek mythology. Sometimes they’d talk about a topic I can actually participate in and it would probably be the best conversations I ever had. They still invite me to their birthdays, they still try to include me in the conversation and they talk to me outside of the cafeteria. They also say I’m one of their best friends, so hey! Either way, I still have my other best friend in another group that I sit with on Wednesdays, so even when they don’t invite me over to their house as much as the two of them do with each other, I still have her.
3rd Period (12:50-14:05)
We read about poems. I love poems, I love to write them, but it was slow whenever we started talking about similies, methaphors, etc. and identifying them. It was alright, though.
4th Period (14:15-15:30)
Now this class I was complaining about not wanting to go to, because I wanted to go home, and I knew we’d just revise, but it was the best class. We did revision for our upcoming test on chemistry, and I really love chemistry. I’m glad we revised, because I kinda need to after a week of not looking at what you’ve been doing at school. I also got my science quiz result : 98%! Really happy with that, but still it reminded me of my Math and how I’m at 70%. I talked about it with my family after school, and how everyone is struggling with math this year. My dad wants me to for my teacher’s help, but I’m shy and I have slight social anxiety, not to forget I cry while talking to them sometimes, because of the anxiety. Plus, when they explain something to me directly, it just passes over my head, so I need them to explain it to the class in a whole. I don’t know why I’m that way, but I just am. I’m sure if I work hard enough, study hard enough, I can understand the subject myself. I also have my brother that I can use for help, who’s in computer science, so he has a good understanding of math.
After my 30 minute bus ride home, I watched some YouTube videos, ate a meal with odd potatoes that I don’t like—I love potatoes, but it was sort of disc shapes with some kind of cheese? I don’t know, don’t usually like it (I sound so interesting right now, talking about potatoes) and yeah. Did science homework and talked about my math stuff with my parents that I mentioned earlier. Writing here, now.
Well… that’s it.
That’s all for today.
(PS : I swear, finding titles for these kind of entries without making them sound too boring for being literal is hard. Then again, what I usually write is boring, to me anyway, because not every day is interesting).
