Day 35 – French Exam

Thursday, March 31st 2016.

Today was stressful and I was very tired the majority of it. Was still nice in a certain way, though.

Day 4

1st Period (09:10-10:25)
French Exam (Cahier 1)
We finally started our big French exam. I couldn’t concentrate for a while during it, even though I went to school early and studied for a while with my best friend. I couldn’t process the texts. I managed to finish with thirty seconds to spare. I also ran out of space for my journalistic text. My conclusion is basically one line with a word that went off of the last line. I hope whoever is grading it will let it slide.

2nd Period (10:35-11:50)
French Exam (Cahier 2)
This one went better. Now that I could concentrate, I was able to finish with five minutes to spare. Although in the end, I don’t have a clue how my exam went. You need 300/400 points and I’m afraid I got something like 295 points, which was told to be possible by one of the teachers, because the student didn’t revise. I didn’t have time to revise. I should stop worrying, I’m sure it went fine. Worse case scenario, I try it again next year. I was told I was really good by the teacher in the French clinic anyway, so I should be fine. I’m probably just letting stress get to me.

Lunch (11:50-12:50)
I sat with my close friends and my best friend joined us. Mostly complained about how tired I was and wanting to go home.

3rd Period (12:50-14:05)
Visual Arts
We started research on the lettrine, or an emblem, I discovered. We have a translation! I started to write down personality traits, animal and vegetarian (ex : flowers) traits to brew some ideas. Not quite sure what I’m going to do yet. I hope to use a rabbit, since it matches my personality the most (gentle, quiet and alert; kind and patient; and responsible). On top of that, a white rabbit, because the colour also represents me (kind, innocent, peaceful). But phoenix would be good too, it’s my favourite mythical animal other than dragons.

4th Period (14:15-15:30)
More French! Like I didn’t have enough of that already. There was a substitute. I read chapter 9 of our book and answered the questions for that chapter while mostly everyone else didn’t work. The substitute made me write my name on a piece of paper to indicate that I was working for when the teacher comes back, as usual. I’m not a teacher’s pet or anything, I just like to get the work done and not pile up on things, unless I’m trying to transform stress into motivation.

After School
In the middle of my entry, I had to eat quickly, call my grandmother to say happy birthday and then go to the eye doctor for my lenses. My right eye went up a little and my left eye two steps. My left eyes is worse than my right, which makes it annoying when I close one of my eyes to check the difference, but I barely see it. I like things symmetrical, but at least I don’t notice it all that much.

That’s all for today.
