Day 53 – Little things can make the day interesting

“Wazzup people of the journal?” – Kohai 2016, in a Skype call.

Today was alright. There were a couple of interesting things that I took note of, but nothing big.

Day 4

1st Period (09:10-10:25)
We continued on our anthropology poems. Mine seems to be going very good so far, but I’m a little slow at writing it. I am trying to fit as many figures of speech into it as possible, because we need to include some in both of our poems and the ballad I’m making is longer than the other, so it can have more figures of speech.

2nd Period (10:35-11:50)
We worked some more on refraction. It seems harder this time, but nothing I can’t learn.

Lunch (11:50-12:50)
I sat with my closest friends for a while until one of them left and the other one and I parted ways, as we usually do when the other leaves. I went to see Kohai, but she wasn’t there, so I just joined her friends. We didn’t talk much and at some point an old friend of mine from 7th grade came up to us and asked where someone was. When asked why, she said “To give him shit.” Apparently something happened, but that’s none of my business.

3rd Period (12:50-14:05)
Visual Arts
We had a substitute. We decided to have people model and draw quick gestures in 1 minute and I was happy to hear that, but for some reason, I complain anyway to one of my closest friends. I guess complaining is the only way I can find a subject to talk about with her. Other than that, I worked on my math for the quiz tomorrow.

4th Period (14:15-15:30)
We continued on our essay. I’m basically done, but we have one more period. I’ll just proof read and add a opening to the conclusion.

After School
In the bus, I spotted a mosquito trying to enter and banging on the window. Great, they’re out. My legs are going to be eaten alive. I also saw someone riding a bike and holding crutches on her handles? Odd how she broke her leg or something and is riding a bike, unless she is holding it for someone? I don’t know.
When I got home, I started watching some deep web videos. I came across some stories and one of them was about a guy hiring a hit-man on himself. It’s definitely fake, but the audio of the hour long video was like a movie and felt very real to the point I felt my heart beating quickly whenever the two had encounters.
I also spotted a male cardinal after eating a huge bowl of ice cream (I don’t usually eat ice cream, but this particular chocolate and caramel one was the best ice cream I ever had. Speaking about ice cream, since we’re planning on going to New York one day, my parents want me to try Ben and Jerry’s. I heard it’s very good). My parents hurried to the window and tried taking a bunch of pictures of the bird. My mom probably for Facebook and my dad for his mom, since she’s a big fan of birds.
I was also talking with Kohai and we were talking about riddles and how we both used to do treasure hunts. When I was younger, my brother and I would put riddles around the house and make treasures hunts, where you had to go to certain rooms to find a paper that lead to another, then lead to another, then to another until you find candy. Kohai apparently did that for a friend’s birthday at some point too.
I’m gonna watch the last of X Company on the disc. Now I’m out of video games and shows again, and have nothing to do. But I did get into the creepy deep web stories. I’m not worried about watching them and not being able to sleep at night, because compared to creepy pasta, unless I go on the deep web (and I never will), I don’t have anything to fear.
Kohai is just humming Christmas songs in the background (but she claims they’re not).

That’s all for today.

  1. I need to write my journals like yours. Mine are just bullet points of thoughts.
