So Many Sad

It breaks my heart sometimes reading these journals.  So many young people are very depressed.  Dangerously depressed.  And express feelings of self-hate.  But don’t get me wrong, this is the place to talk about it!  The anonymity is wonderful.  You can really open up and be honest.  I just wish I could reach through the computer and give someone a hug sometimes.  I wish I could send you my book: The Beautiful Truth.   It addresses these issues.  Bottom line:  believe—BELIEVE—in Jesus’ tender love for you.  Don’t just believe in God as in “I go to church.”  Believe that God adores you, you are His own child!  You are the apple of His eye the Bible says.  Try to train your heart to turn to your Father in Heaven with hope and trust.  God bless you, each one of you that is so down.  I pray for you, and send love to you.

  1. Is it me or is the depression ramped? I suppose writing ones thoughts down helps in cathartic way to air out the emotions we struggle with.

I love your caring nature, devotion to try to help, and must of all the love you have to share. You are a beautiful soul.

  2. Oh, my… many kind words! Thank you so much.

  3. Indeed and I have thought the same thing myself. I just wish there were a way I could make these young people feel better about themselves. I always worry I’ll say the wrong thing. But you are right, writing here is a good thing…getting it out is a good thing. S

  4. Ah good point pilgrim. Your writing is fabulous. Mine…not so much. I find of late that rather than writing my preferred mode is to sprinkle encouraging comments. Interesting how this develops into a little community.
