Day 61 – Doing good in school

Huh, so I guess it was my iron supplements. I’m a lot less tired now.

Today was alright, I need shower. I was told not to wash my hair every day cause it’s bad for me, but on the second day it feels gross and doesn’t look nice. I might just take a shower every night anyway.

Day 3

1st Period (09:10-10:25)
We continued lenses and started doing the diagrams. Very easy so far. I also have to work on my research lab, but I’m paired with a freeloader. Eh, I could care less. I only care for my grade, so if it means me doing all the work and getting an A+, then that’s fine with me. Kinda helps him too, even though he doesn’t exactly deserve it. I gave him the easiest things he could do on the work, which is the introduction and one of the analyse questions. If he ever asks why I id 90% of the work, I’ll just say I was worried whether or not he will finish in time and I didn’t want to lose 5% (every day you don’t bring it in, you lose 5%). It’s honest and I don’t want to say I don’t want a bad grade cause of him, cause that’s calling him unknowledgeable, and who knows? He probably is very knowledgeable about the subject.

2nd Period (10:35-11:50)
We continued animal farm and did some grammar stuff. Apparently I’m not a master of English grammar like I thought I was. It’s still so much easier than French, though. English has so many less tenses. 12 vs. 28, I believe. Plus there aren’t accents, even though accents are pretty easy. There is very good trick when knowing either a word ends with “er” or “é” in French, is by replacing them with “vendre” (sell) or “vendu” (sold). For example, “mangé” (eat) has an “é” in “J’ai mangé mon souper” (I ate my supper), because “J’ai vendu mon souper” (I sold my supper) makes sense compared to “J’ai vendre mon souper” (I sell my supper).

Lunch (11:50-12:50)
I sat with Kohai. We talked about dreams and she claimed to never have felt the sensation of falling in a dream. I explained that it feels as if the whole front of you (or backside if you’re falling on your back) is as if there is pressure (like pressing your forearm on the table).

3rd Period (12:50-14:05)
We learned more about tans, sin, and cos. I finally know what they mean on a calculator. I think my brother tried to explain it to me in the past (he’s 3 grades above me, or in university now), but I would keep saying “I need to concentrate on what I’m already learning” or “It’s summer stop it”. I did listen to a few times though and that gave me a small understanding of what we would start learning.
   I also got a 86% on my math test! The age question was wrong. I was close, though. Also, the last question, I brain farted and wrote 8 instead of 6 to 4+2 *facepalm*.

4th Period (14:15-15:30)
Visual Arts
We had about less than an hour to draw a poster for the harmony and varnishing event. It was fantasy and some of the songs was Hedwig’s theme and some other song I don’t remember. Our teacher told us to not all do Harry Potter (but I did, of course) and I ended up with Hedwig with wings open, holding a scroll where all the information will be. I should have done my other idea where someone has their hand held out in a green ball of flame in mid transformation to an instrument or note. It would have looked much better, but oh well. Too late.

After School
I watched some YouTube videos for a while then ate, then done my homework and I’m going to play Town of Salem with my brother. I’ve always loved the game Mafia or loupgaroo in French, so knowing that they did kind of an online version sounds amazing to me. I’m also gonna watch X Company later. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS GOING ON BETWEEN ALFRED AND AURORA! I CALLED IT!
