It’s the revenge of the fifth. *ba dum tss* (This is me from the future. Tomorrow is the revenge of the sixth. You’re wrong.)
Anyway, today was alright. Same old same old. I asked my English teacher if I missed anything, and I haven’t really. That means I didn’t miss anything Monday and Tuesday, so my allergies or cold (whatever it was, I still don’t know) was timed well. Speaking about allergies, last night before going to bed, my throat became dry instantly I couldn’t breathe for about five seconds. I searched it up and I think it was a laryngospasm (brief spasm of the vocal cords that temporarily makes it difficult to speak or breathe.) It can be caused by allergies, so I was relieved that it wasn’t a serious problem. I am surprised that I kept calm in that situation, though. On the outside I didn’t look calm of course, because I was wheezing, but on the inside I was thinking something along the lines of : “Oh, can’t breathe. Hm. Guess I should get my bottle of water cause my throat is dry. Why is this happening, by the way? Am I choking?” I would suspect most people in that situation to be thinking something more along the lines of : “I CAN’T BREATHE! WHAT’S GOING ON?” I don’t know whether me being calm like that is a good thing or not.
1st Period (09:10-10:25)
Well, I wanted my dad to drive me early to school so I could study (cause I didn’t have time last night) and I noticed the car wasn’t there and remembered my mom was using it today. Instead of studying properly, I decided to talk with Kohai for a while before we started working on the next part of the chapter.
It was finally the quiz, and I was worried, because I kept getting a different answer than the ones our teacher put up on the board, but I did it and it wasn’t so bad. I asked some of my friends if they did the same thing as I did, and apparently they did and got the same answers. I think I got maybe an 70%? Not the best, but still passable. Passing grade is 50% here in Canada and 75% is average. I usually strive for 80%.
2nd Period (10:35-11:50)
The teacher, person, instructor, someone, came back and taught us some more things. This time about putting layers of acrylic paint by using an apple as an example. She also told us for our evaluated project (which is you have to take a picture of things that represent you; there’s a lot of projects about representing yourself in art, I just realized) there will be prizes for the winners. First place gets a one on one learning experience with her for an hour in her private studio, which would normally cost 100$ (which is alright I guess, good deal, but I don’t really need painting lessons—well I do, cause I’m awful, haha, but it’s not necessary for me), second place an iTunes gift card (cause that’s so useful when I have an android) and third place a Chapters gift card (not much of a reader). If I win anything, I’m probably just gonna give it away to one of my friends.
Speaking about the items, let’s think about what I could use and why :
- A video game controller : Represents that gaming has been a part of me ever since I was little
- Yellow dinosaur plushie : Was given by my brother when I was born
- Tablet : Represents how I want to become an animator
- Earphones or headphones : Represents that I often listen to music and it helps me get through a lot
- Drawing from Kohai : Represents my friendships
And for the rest, I’d have to look around. So far, everything I said is black, except for the dinosaur, haha.
I sat with my closest friends and we talked about things. Apparently one of them has a job at a poutine place. I know where I’m going to go eat next time.
3rd Period (12:50-14:05)
We had a substitute. We worked on a lot of questions in the textbook as a method of studying. I did most of it, but I didn’t bring it home to finish it, cause I worked on my art homework instead.
4th Period (14:15-15:30)
We continued Animal Farm and I answered questions I missed Monday and Tuesday, then when worked for the chromebooks for a bit. You know, the guy I’m sitting next to is kinda interesting. I guess it’s because I don’t talk to a lot of guys, haha.
I watched some YouTube and decided to take a break of school, but kept telling myself “Eh, I should do my art.” I started on my art, but my dad came up to ask if I wanted to call the boss of a place I want to apply to or if I want to do it tomorrow and I told him tomorrow, because I’ll have less things to do. I ended up just watching YouTube again though.
I ate and finally did my art work for a good couple of hours while listening to my YouTube music playlist. I finished all of it tonight, surprisingly. I’ll have nothing to do tomorrow, then.
I’m gonna play a couple of rounds of Town of Salem, take a shower and then watch X Company.
I wonder how many people read my entries. I don’t need a lot of people to read them, just one is fine cause it gives me enough motivation, but still, makes me curious.
That’s all for today.
