Today I had work experience with dogs again as a usual Thursday. I made it my goal today to observe any signs of mental illness, anxiety and stress in particular, that may be present in a team member. My findings were not great as I found it hard at first to pinpoint exactly what sort of behaviours makes up a mental illness. As stated in last weeks work experience entry, working with dogs is a very relaxing job with little stresses or anxious situations as your main company is the dogs. However, in observing my team members actions I found that certain things can cause stress and make her tense up. These things included traffic when driving to and from the dogs houses, restraining the dogs and handling them safely as well as completing the jobs tasks in the time frame she is given. These little things can cause big stresses on one person who takes on a lot of responsibility.
