Recently I’ve found that I’ve been overly obsessed with 9/11. I don’t mean to offend anyone, my apologies if it does.Every morning I wake up just thinking about the people that suffered that day, victims and the families of the victims. Thanks to YouTube I’ve been able to try to get a feel of what it was like for some. It’s incredibly inspiring to see survivor speeches, describing what it was like getting out of the tower, and the days following after the collapse. And those who didn’t survive pull at my heart strings, as their families tell their stories. One video I will never forget had a phone call recording to 911 from the 105 floor of the south tower, the call was made by Kevin Cosgrove. He explained to the dispatcher that he was on floor 105 with two other people, in the office of Jonathan Ostrau. He then proceeded to get aggravated with the dispatcher when he had to repeatedly spell the last name of  Jonathan. He tells dispatcher, “We’re young men, not ready to die. It doesn’t feel like anyone’s coming, please hurry!!!”

“My wife thinks I’m alright, I called and said I was leaving the building and that I was fine, and then bang!” while 2 World Trade Center was burning. Then, a 9-1-1 operator called him. He answered “Hello. We’re looking in … we’re overlooking the Financial Center. Three of us. Two broken windows. Oh God! Oh!!- Kevin’s words ended as the South Tower collapsed

I only hope it was quick for everyone that day

RIP ❤️
