Journal Entry #16 (I’ve realized that CPS will haunt me until I’m 18)

CPS is after us once again. They don’t stop. They never do. You’ve got to be so careful. One slip up as a parent and they’re knocking at your door.

They came today. It’s been a while since I’ve seen them last so I was surprised when Bob opened my room door (he never opens my door or goes into my room when I am there) to show the CPS lady the contents. She nodded after a quick inspection and they both leave.

At first, I thought she was a house inspector or someone who was thinking of buying our house, but CJ comes into my room when they leave (doesn’t anybody knock XD) and tells me that that was CPS. Obviously I crap my pants cause I knew my mom would get really stressed all over again when she found out.

Soon after that, a seemingly drunk Bob tells me that the lady was here because my mom missed a bunch of our doctor appointments (I was supposed to give blood back since February haha).

Later my mom comes home and asks me and my bros if they questioned us. We say no. She looks at my room and shakes her head in disapproval. “And your room looks like…”

I knew what that meant. For some reason when CPS is deciding whether you’re going to be taken fron your home, in addition to signs of abuse and neglect, they factor in how your room looks. Can someone please explain this to me? Cause I don’t understand…Like is it a cleanliness thing? I really hope they know that teenagers rooms are supposed to be dirty. I don’t expect any adults to understand, cause it’s a teen thing. More so, adults will probably say I deserve CPS cause my room is a mess.

But you’ve gotta understand: My room is small and there’s nowhere to put everything! I have so much stuff that I can’t throw away!

Now I’ve gotta somehow clean my room and I’m stressed out.

I can’t wait until I turn 18. Then I’ll truly be safe from them. Wish me luck. Or not, if you hate me for some reason.

How’s everyone’s day going? I’m interested in hearing all about it 🙂

There’s no rest from CPS, so I’ve gotta go.
