Got to try to clarify cause I guess I am misunderstood and I don’t want to  be.  My co-workers have been oh so very great during all this.  In fact everyone at work has been great.  I guess it may be partially my fault because when asked how I’m doing it’s just easier to smile and say good rather than going into all the crappy details that I’m sure no one really wants to hear everyday so I apologize for coming across the wrong way because believe me my co-workers are THE BEST.  Yes I work because right now I have to for the health insurance.  No one else is going to hire me in my condition and with health insurance benefits so this is my job for now.  Am waiting for medicare to kick in in a couple more years.  It is a physically draining job which with my current condition is extremely difficult but you do what you have to do.   Give yourselves more credit.  You would do what you have to do too.

  1. So glad that your co-workers are basically kind to you. And yes I understand about “doing what you have to do”. I’m sort of in that situation with work myself. I’m 63…and need to work for at least 4 or 5 more years and many of my friends are retired…I’m just doing what I have to. However I still admire your courage my friend! Keeping you in my prayers as always. Hugs to you.
