Day 128 – Getting bored

Monday, July 4th 2016

Today wasn’t the most interesting. I continued my Japanese and I now sort of know the hiragana line for “e”. I can read hiragana written words with the characters I already know at a slow pace and can write a few myself, but I do still have to learn Japanese words, because all I can do is write words like “karate” and “kawaii” (but now that I think about it, I might be able you write a few Japanese words I already know, such as sayounara (goodbye) or kudasai (please give)—wait no, that has “da” and there is no “da” in hiragana, so it will probably be katakana—and I also have to know in which cases I have to use hiragana, but after saying what I said before, I guess I kinda do. My close friend told me the other day that she also was slow when starting to learn Japanese, but in my case, I think that’s because I don’t spend a lot of time on it. I just wasn’t into it today (I could have finished hiragana if I wanted), nor was I into my video games, nor YouTube! I was uninterested in everything to the point that I wanted to walk my dog to clear up my mind, but it did nothing. I guess the moment where I get extremely bored during the summer is arriving. One of the feelings I dislike the most is being bored, so I hope I can find some things to do that’ll get me interested—or better, be more motivated in my Japanese and art.

That’s all for today.

  1. There is a da in hiragana! You put an accent thingy on ta like this だ and thats da! So it’s still in hiragana since it’s a japanese word ^u^ Katakana is for western words. Learn on!
