Whenever my mother was angry because I made mistakes, she would keep yelling things like “You’re a useless piece of sh*t!”, “I shouldn’t haven given birth to you!” etc. I knew she didn’t really mean it, but it still killed me from the inside hearing her said so. And the more scared and hesitated I was, the more mistakes I made. There must be a way to bring up children without the yelling and shaming, right? And if you’re a parent, please remember that your words mean A LOT to your children so use them wisely. It may affect them for a whole life.

  1. Words do burn, ache and kill sometimes. Like Missy, I am so sorry you had to go through that. I know it bruised your heart. Terribly. Let Jesus love you back to healing of your heart and a good self-image. He is really the one who gave birth to you, and he is NOT disappointed! He is proud of you and watching over you. Blessings to you.
