A Song

We have a “son” we unofficially adopted about 10 years ago.  His family was JW and when he became a Christian they rejected him.  (He was grown already).  He is almost exactly the same age as our daughter.  I was a little down today and I called him, and he sang a Christian song for me by Mercy me.  “Finding myself at a loss for words; and the funny thing is—-it’s okay.  The last thing I need is to be heard, but to hear what You would say.  Word of God, speak….”   I’ve forgotten the rest. It helped me a lot, though.  Hope your day is going well.  I’m so thankful for family and friends and those precious people that are partly both.

  1. That sounds like a beautiful song. Your unofficial adopted “son” sounds like a very nice man. You are lucky to have him in your life. He made you feel loved and at at peace just talking to him.
