Knowing Myself

Well, I’m trying really hard to know myself and to become a better person. As a warehouse supervisor I need to understand that my role is important and I need to be a role model for the employees. I need to improve myself in order to coach others, I need to grow mentally, learn new and positive habits. I’m trying to make reading and writing journals part of my everyday routine, it’s not easy. My main/brain is use to do the same thing everyday and it does not want to bring something to its routine, it does not like changes. I try to read at least 10 minutes or 1 chapter of my book everyday. I read books about management, self-improving and anything else that has to do with growing/becoming a better person. Another reason why I started reading is to improve my vocabulary… English is not my first language. Well I’m going to talk to you a little bit about myself. I’m 26 years old, I was born in Mexico and moved to the U.S. when I was 13. When I got here, I knew a little bit of English, the basic stuff and the transition from Mexico to the U.S. was not easy at all. I did not choose to move here, my parents brought me because they wanted to have a better life. I believe that if Mexico had a better government most Mexicans (including me) would not be here, but anyways… For the same reason why my parents brought me here, that is the same reason why I’m changing my habits and my everyday routine. Every time I read, it feels good to know that I’m going something positive to change/improve myself. This is only a “test” journal, if you have any comments to help me improve feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Hey URAMOZ

You took your first step, One step at a time is all that you have to do to make good changes. Before becoming a good model for your team, first become good model for yourself. Then everything will go great Automatically 🙂
