I was sent home from work…

Because my manager forgot to inform the us that the unit would be closed today due to catering. Are you fucking kidding me? I better get paid the minimum required for showing up. It’s not fault they didn’t inform me. My co-worker was sent home early as well. I’m annoyed. It takes a bit of time to organize a catered event for an entire office of 250+ people so it’s not the like decision to shut down today was last minute. My guess is they simply forgot and given my last entry this just serves as further proof of how unprofessional they are. I’ll send them a passive aggressive e-mail tomorrow asking how many hours I’ll be getting paid for  my “records” because I don’t trust them to actually pay me if I don’t bring it up. Ug! I don’t want to be stressed out about this so I think I’ll just relax. There’s nothing I can do about it anyway, other than get my ducks in a row in case the contract is terminated… And me along with it. Until then, I’ll continue to enjoy my job and will return to work with a smile on my face. I do like working there. Also, it feels nice to have a day off. I got a new book on the way home: “13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl by Mona Awad. I like to read simple YA books like this for thinspo. I can’t wait to start reading it on the balcony with my dog for company! Also, Mike has his awards ceremony for soccer tonight and now I’ll have enough time to wash my hair which is a good thing because I look pretty greasy. Being blonde is so much work.

I know, right? They do have a lot of units to manage and some make $100,000+/DAY whereas ours banks (if we’re lucky) $100 so I’ve always known we weren’t a priority, but their fuck-ups are beginning to affect me.
