Had doctor appointment and chemo today.  Asked about magnesium for leg and hand cramps and blood work showed my magnesium level was indeed low.  Told doctor about eating spinach every day and it seems to be helping.  The next blood work will show if I am right.  Potassium level is perfect.  Yay.  The neuropothy I am experiencing (the numbness in my fingers) is a side effect of the chemo and can last a year or longer and sometimes never goes away.  I guess I can live with that.  Told doctor about the stiffness and feeling like I am 95 years old.  I have to decide if it gets worse by my next doctor visit in 6 weeks and if it is my chemo drugs will be changed.  I don’t know about all of that.  I’m not good at putting a number on pain levels.  Also  I have a fairly high tolerance for pain so like I said I don’t know.   Over all a good day at chemo if there is such a thing.   And on another positive note.  Twelve pounds to go to reach my goal weight.  Actually got into a pair of jeans that I haven’t been able to put on for quite some time.   Also have to really get on myself to check my blood pressure every morning.  Been slacking off on that chore.  Just have never been sure about when to take it.

  1. So good to hear from you. It’s been awhile. That’s great about your weight and being able to get into those jeans! What a great feeling! Of course it doesn’t make up for all the agony you’ve been through. You’ve been so patient. God bless you very much.
