If money lost its meaning, what work would you do?

If money lost its meaning, what work would you do?

I thought long and hard about this question…there were two things that came to mind instantly:

  1. Hair/makeup…I have always loved doing hair and makeup, without sounding conceited I will say that it’s something I am good at. I have always had a passion for it. Growing up I would do my cousins and friends hair and makeup. I even have done a couple weddings. I truly enjoy it.
  2. Something along the lines of advocating for rape/assault victims. As you may have read in my previous entries I have been a victim of sexual assault and I think a lot of people think it can’t happen to them or if it does that they are to blame. I would want to do something like community outreach for victims and just people in general. I would want to stop the stigma that comes with it, The thought that someone is “damaged” because they were sexually assaulted, especially in patriarch cultures.

I suppose I should decide to work in one of these areas, especially since they are my passion but I guess I don’t know how to, or even where to start. A career change right now seems overwhelming with everything else going on in my life. Perhaps in the spring I will start researching and seeing what my options are

*Passion is the difference between having a job and having a career*
