Good while it lasted

I have been so blessed and fortunate that not only did The Man take his vacation this week, but I have a lighter than normal schedule. Tomorrow I go back to work…

Really being able to spend so much extra time and connect with my hubby lifts my heart. I hate when we work so much and I feel like I never see him. It just makes weeks like this extra special.

I spent today doing some fall cleaning. Finally got rid of all my tiny pants and shirts I don’t think I’ll ever fit into again… and by rid of, I mean I stashed them in a box in my closet cuz you know… goals. I re-washed and vacuumed the carpets because while the vinegar spray may deter Jake, I think my house smells like an Easter Egg.

I’ve made progress with my favorite batch of backyard kitties. I can get them to come up on the back deck for a bowl of food. I’ve named the fluff ball kitten Gypsy. Crap. It has a name. I’m attatched.

Right now I’m sitting on my bed with Princess. She is having some trouble (more than usual) walking these days, but her spirit is as large as ever. It is going to be so hard to say goodbye. Again the bright side is that I have a thousand and one little moments to look back at and smile upon. I am better for having her in my life. I won’t fail her.

  1. Definately. Its my goal to get some decent shots of them to raise awareness in my area. These poor babies shouldnt have to live in my backyard. Gypsy seems very curious about me & I’m making progress towards physical contact.

I am going to start talking to my vet about a walk-in appointment for her since I don’t know how long it will take for her to trust me.
