He thought of Peter. Dear Peter had taught him many things durning their short time together and making something out of virtually nothing was most certainly one of them. He had not the faintest inclination these troubles before him were insurmountable. In fact, he had no doubts he would overcome these circumstances and simply rise out of the ashes like the birth of the phoenix.
He ushered the children and their little pets into the convertible and turned around to look at their great house. The fantastic brick expansion laid before him and memories flashed like a flock of birds gliding into the heavens. This feeling, this moving onward and saying goodbye was a familiar one for our Jake Foster. Long before this he had forced himself to learn how to give painful goodbyes to his glittery things, turn his head away from them and face the rising sun.
