Giving Thanks

As it is a time for Thanksgiving and although we do not celebrate it here in the UK, it got me thinking that every day there should be something to feel thankful for. So much in the same way I use to write my daily gratitudes, today I shall list my Thankfulness:

I didn’t have to get up with the alarm.

I had a leisurely paced morning.

Confidence stepping out the front door.

The weather was mellow and the colours of lingering Autumn beautiful.

Shopping for gifts and getting organised for Christmas.

Traveling home without the rush of the rush hour.

The food in my home and the glass of wine I enjoyed.

A marketing call that didn’t cause me impatience.

Watching a TV drama nearing its climax.

Goodnight journal and all it encompasses.

Texts with my daughter, sharing pictures of these little guys destined for the Christmas tree, they make me smile in their cuteness .. 🙂

  1. I would like to thank you for reading my journal and said that you liked
my style. We don’t do anything for Thanksgiving in Japan either but I was suprised
that store had a huge sale saying” Black Friday” 🙂
Hope you are having a lovely day! Nami

  2. I did have a good day, thank you Nami .. 🙂 .. Black Friday hit the UK a couple of years ago, it made the news after crowds of shopping tried scramming for a bargain TV knocking people to the floor as they went .. now some places start doing their bargain stuff over a few days and this year its been nicknamed Slack Friday as most people chose to shop online.
