Asking For God’s Grace through Faith

We all want God’s Grace. Paul affirmed that grace is accessed by faith (Rom. 5:1-2; Eph. 2:8-9). I definitely have faith. I love the stories in the bible of individuals who had tremendous faith and loved God, Loved Jesus so much….they believed so hard….and received so much in return.  In Mark 7:24-30 a Gentile woman from Syrian Phoenicia asks Jesus to cast a demon out of her daughter. The story of the centurion who asks Jesus to heal his servant (Mat 8:5-13).

Abraham is mentioned several times in the Bible for some of the great things he accomplished, but Romans 4 says that he was saved because of his faith and not because of this works. Hebrews 11 says that he followed God even though he was not sure where he was going. Abraham is known as a man of faith who faithfully followed the Lord’s leading.  Moses followed God’s call through great faith. Joshua became the leader of Israel because of his faith.

Moses followed God’s call through great faith. Joshua became the leader of Israel because of his faith.

Joshua became the leader of Israel because of his faith. Joshua was the general who guided Israel in their victorious battles with the inhabitants of the land. When the walls of Jericho fell, it was because Joshua trusted God and His Word. Joshua led the nation of Israel as a man of faith.

God called Gideon to lead Israel into battle with the Midianites. The Midianite army had about 135,000 men. Gideon gathered an army of 32,000 men. However, God told Gideon that there were too many men in the army. Through a selection process, God whittled the Israelite army down to just 300 men. Though Gideon was scared, he trusted God to prove His promise.  God said they needed a smaller army so that people would know that it was God who won the battle, and not a large army.

There are SO many more stories that prove that faith works wonders.  I have faith too! I have faith that God will see me through my trials.  Trials that might be big to me, but not so big for God!  Which is why I can keep on going in life. Knowing that my God is much bigger than my trials could ever be.

I love God and I am grateful for his love for me. Very grateful.  I am going to pray that I acquire the type of faith that Gideon, Abraham, Joshua, and Paul had!!! That’s the faith that receives ample Grace from God.

Thank You.
