My therapist gave me a task, instead of bottling up emotion I am to express it at the time. I am to set boundaries with people.
She said it may not be pretty but it’s better than keeping it bottled up. There is no right or wrong way it’s trial and error and I need to find what works for me.
I am no longer going to say ‘yes’ to things I am not happy with, I will no longer tolerate behaviour which upsets me. I am in control of my life and I am living for me and I am going to prioritise myself.
