Day 391 – Comic Con special guest

Wednesday, March 22nd 2017

I planned on skipping today’s entry, since nothing very interesting happened and I didn’t feel like writing that much, however, I cannot not mention something.

Montreal ComicCon, special guest : David freaking Tennant.

My parents told me this and I knew, I just had to go.

Forget Ottawa ComicCon. Yes there’s Robin Taylor (Penguin), yes there’s John Barrowman (Captain Jack), and yes, there is Peter Capaldi (12th Doctor), but sorry Peter, I barely saw any of your episodes cause of Netflix taking down Doctor Who and David is my favourite anyway, and I love him in so many roles; the Doctor, Alec Hardy, Barty Crouch Jr., Kilgrave… He was the first ever celebrity I actually paid attention to, since I used to care less about them… I must go. My parents obviously knew they couldn’t say no to me, so they said they’ll keep an eye out for when will be his events, since they only say 7 days before the event when will be his signing or Q&A (if he has one); we might have to take a 50/50 chance on it being either Saturday or Sunday, and I can’t on a Friday. I’m ready to do anything to meet him though, even if I’ll be so shy and quiet, that all I’ll say is hello and thank you.

Anyway, Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) is also gonna be there, so that’s definitely another actor on my list. Makes me wonder : should I dress up with Harry Potter merchandise or Doctor Who… Harry Potter, since David Tennant was in HP too as Barty Crouch Jr..

That’s all for today.

  1. That sounds awesome. Hope you have fun!

I like Peter Capaldi more than David Tenant because he played Leonardo Da Vinci in this one documentary I saw, and he did an awesome job. He was also a Doctor Who ‘extra’ character in one of the episodes before he became the new Doctor, it might have been in a David Tenant episode too.

But I think David Tenant had better stories. I’ve seen all of his and the other guy, Matthew Something, I think, doctor episodes. It’s a really awesome show. I haven’t seen much of Capaldi’s episodes either.
