Weekend + Rebellion Tickets

First thing this morning (well ok… after a cup of coffee) I went for a run. I feel so much better for it since I wasn’t able to work out very much yesterday. I’m toying with the idea of getting a new bike. I use to love cycling on the trails up near my home town. Some days I use to bike to work instead of driving. I sold my old bike before I moved. If I bought one here I don’t really have a decent space to put it. I could lock it up outside, but some one would find a way to steal it anyways.

We did the whole art festival thing yesterday. Snooch sang with her group. They sang “Eye of the tiger” and “Titanium”. Weird choices, but what do I know? I can’t sing.

Afterwards I took the kids out for dinner and ice cream. Snooch and her friends spent most of the evening playing in the backyard with her puppy. I’m grateful they decided to spend so much time outside because he still isn’t 100% potty trained. My father-in-law actually made the suggestion to push his face next to his pee and scream at him. Ummm… no. Basset Hounds are sort of known for their stubbornness and they are highly sensitive. They are notoriously difficult to potty train. I know he’ll get there eventually.

Went with Starr and the kids to go see the new power ranger movie this afternoon. It was better than I expected it to be, but I was expecting it to bomb so that is not saying very much. A large part of it seemed like advertising for Krispy Kreme. Usually when Starr and I go to see the movies we watch the latest horror flick so atleast this time I was able to bring the kids.

This upcoming week is going to be busy. Tomorrow I’m opening at work. Finally day shift! Yay! Only 6+ months after my boss promised he’d switch me to day shifts. Tuesday I am off at work because Snooch has her Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony.

The Man and I have plans to go see a few bands at Ground Zero. We had a good time when we went there before to see his friend’s band play (I think their name is Dead by Wednesday or something like that). The band that opened for them had a singer with such a phenomenal voice and she was able to work up the crowd really good. Tons of energy. Her style reminds me of that of Alissa White-Gluz & Angela Gossow.   That’s the main band we are going to see this time.

After the whole spider debacle I “forgot” to check the mailbox yesterday. Didn’t realize my Carolina Rebllion tickets were sitting there waiting for me. I can’t wait until May. There are so many bands on the bill that I want to see. Now I’ve got to start looking for a camper to rent.

Guess that’s about it for now.

  1. Aww, your pupper will be potty-trained eventually. Yelling at them only makes them scared because they won’t understand what is happening 🙁
Congratulations on your daughter and her Induction Ceremony 🙂

  2. I completely agree with you about the yelling. I know my father in law thinks he’s helping… but I think yelling at the dog isn’t going to work and might make the problem worse. He’s a puppy. He is bound to have a few accidents. I knew it would be a lot of work when we made the decision to buy him. He just needs more time.

And thank you 🙂 I’m pretty darn proud of her.
