I’m always told I’m just a kid and I’ve never grown up. I take that as a compliment, because really, who wants to be grown up? Kids have all the fun, no responsibilities, get to play as much as they want and sleep when they’re tired. Ever heard a parent say – no, you can’t go to sleep early tonight, too bad if you’re tired.
I take being a kid very seriously. If there’s a family gathering or a party and the kids are doing something more fun than the grown ups, then I’m heading over to where the fun is and hanging out with them.
Today I had the worst walk ever. Not sure why. I couldn’t find my groove, I forgot my hand weights, my legs were cramping and the wind kept blowing my ball cap off. So I decided to do what a kid would do and find something fun instead. I went to the park and played on the slide. So much fun, sent myself into a giggle and loved every minute.
At the end of the day it doesn’t matter if my walk was perfect or the wind blew my cap off; it matters that I had fun and enjoyed my time….and that’s a beautiful thing.
