Today was my first “work in the yard” day of the season. It’s always a fun exciting day for me, because I love getting my yard in order and making everything pretty and clean and ready to enjoy for the summer. It’s also a very tiring, exhausting, dirty, muddy day for me….and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I love crawling around in the dirt and rock, scraping my knees and scratching my arms.
I’m a bit of a perfectionist….if you don’t know this about me, you don’t really know me. So when I start spring cleaning in my yard, everything has to be perfect. All the weeds are pulled, the rocks are tidy and placed perfectly, flowers are planned and meticulously planted and everything is in its place. Today was no exception. I don’t stop cleaning until I’m satisfied it’s the best it can be.
I’m certain I would drive most people crazy with my desire for perfection, but it’s my way and I’m ok with it.
