Day 541 – Church, games & barbeque

Sunday, August 20th 2017

Today was a bit slow, but fun.

I ushered at church today. It always sucks when I don’t have an usher pin with me, since no one thinks I’m usher unless I have it, because I’m probably the only young person doing it. I was also worried about a woman that often leaves early cause she’s in a wheelchair, and her bus only comes earlier and doesn’t wait for her. I was just placed on the side she’s on and usually the person there has to help her, and I didn’t know what I should do to help, but apparently all I had to do was tell her that her ride arrived and hold the door open for her, since her chair is electric and she can move on her own. I also learned how to move the big sliding wall to open up the space for coffee.

The pastor preached about the differences of religious extremists and true believers. He quoted someone else about how God wants us to be spiritual fruit, not religious nuts. It’s very true though.

At home I played on the computer and my mom had friends over, most of them coworkers. I met them and later talked to them more at supper. I also played Dead by Daylight with my second parents and one of them’s sister, which was fun.

That’s all for today.

  1. I’m delighted that you usher at your church! I appreciate the comment you left on my last entry. Thank you. Do you know what has become of Megawatt? He used to write on here every single day. Anyhow, I’m so glad you have a good church. Your pastor is right—-it is not about religion, it’s about relationship. Love to you!
