It is amazing what all you are thankful for when you really think about it.
My wife had a gift when it came to crafts. She could do it all, and I have a room to prove it. She could draw, color, paint, form things out of clay, do paper quilling, knit, crochet, and the list goes on. I was always amazed at how talented she was.
Everytime she was at Hobby Lobby or Michaels, she would find a new craft she just had to do. Her hands were never idle. Always working on something.
No, I am not going to correlate each craft to how it reminded me of her. But want to share just a part of who my wife was. You see she had a unique outlook on items, and how to put items together form something beautiful. She would take what one would see as garbage and turn it into a work of art. She shared these things with others, letting them have a piece of her in their home.
As I sat and pondered this unique outlook on things, I realized this was a way she was sharing Christ with others. You see Christ sees all the garabage we fill our lives with, and yet he looks beyond that garbage and sees beauty. He made us in His image, we just tarnish that beauty with our sinful ways. But thankfully that tarnish can be washed clean by His blood if we just turn our lives over to Him.
Until next time —– Craig
